Are you a worthless havenot? Or, did you rise to the top, buy an S-class only to find that you still have to look at glaring absences of clicky-things? Share your futility. Post the voids of you soul here!
Here’s a 2014 Taco that I drive for work. No options checked except AC. LOOK AT IT.
The horror.

My truck was manufactured before they gave up making new parts and putting blanks in instead

The only blank buttons my car have are in the most noticeable place possible: the steering wheel. Luckily, now all models have standard audio/steering controls.

I only have three, one technically isn’t even a button. I’m missing the button for the rear fog lights (which America didn’t get), the red blinking light for the alarm system my car doesn’t have, and a blank one next to the interior light dimmer that I haven’t a clue what goes there.
I don’t have any pictures though and it’s too dark to take some...

It was my inspiration! I made this post last week but got kinja’d. Then saw your A4 and was like, “I remember now!”

I’m going to assume the electric gas button just opens your gas tank cover?

Fucking none, how it should be. Also I think its funny my *base model doesnt have one but the higher trim (srt6) has a blank button because of its fixed spoiler.
*04 base models were actually limited models in ‘05 with the introduction of a true base model w/o heated leather seats and therefor 2 more blank buttons.

Absolutely zero! :) Mind you, my truck does have all the options you could get on it.

‘03 Yukon. I say truck but really I mean SUV.

It’s basically a truck, that counts right? It’s not as bad as when people call their crossover a truck, that grinds my gears!

Three, in total. One’s for the air conditioning, which wasn’t available on any RHD version of my car because they didn’t think they’d sell enough with it equipped to recoup the cost of the fairly extensive re-engineering of the engine bay that fitting the pump in would require. It’s probably for the best, to be honest; I’d really rather not place any additional demands upon the 59 horsepowers.
I’ve got no idea what the other two might have been for.

Not my pic, but I have a blank for front fogs, and a pair of blanks on either side of the trip computer (apparently for seat heaters on some models, but my seat heaters are on the climate panel as in the photo):

I had one next to my light dimmer that I made into an electric fan toggle
And I also have that one in the center missing

See that voice control button? It’s a blank. I does squat.

Wow, an autovomit feature!

I did a clutch fan delete and wired the switch to the blank next to the dimmer (posted above)
I also have that red light.. But my alarm was removed at some point apparently so it doesn't work at all.

It opens the front charging door.
It's a leaf.

What car is this?? Crossfire? I have no idea. I like the buttons!

Yessir. Not quite as cool as toggle switches or anything, but I still like ‘em.

I’m shocked! I was sure those buttons looked too good for a Chrysler product, but that spoiler button and srt6. I was like wuttttt?
And it’s because the SLK had those buttons.
EDIT: that made it seem like I don’t like the Crossfire. I love the Crossfire. I just hate almost everything else Chrysler made since 1980.
![]() 06/11/2015 at 01:22 |

Haha no worries I feel the same way. And yes its because the SLK had those buttons.

Are you sure it’s voice control? In my old car a button with a logo like that dropped the volume of the stereo to a set, low level...so you could carry on a conversation (or, presumably, phone call).

I have zero blanks—all options checked! My old 330Ci, however, had several—all the cold weather options, basically, as it was an Arizona car.
